When to Use

Use this manual onboarding process only in these scenarios:

  • Before your company has set up SSO integration
  • For testing purposes in sandbox environment
  • For initial system validation

Once SSO is configured, switch to the SSO integration for all user onboarding.

Manually onboarded accounts cannot access Rampart independently until SSO integration is completed. Users will need administrator assistance for subsequent logins until SSO is configured.

How to Onboard

  1. Navigate to the Rampart Sandbox’s page.

  2. Enter your credentials:

    • API Key (received from Rampart or Command Center)
    • Signing Key (received from Rampart or Command Center)
  3. Configure User Data:

    • Click “Configure User Data”
    • Fill in the user details
    • For Business Data, provide the organization details
  4. Click “Connect via SSO” to be redirected to your Rampart instance with the user’s session.

⚠️ Important Notes About User Data

  • Each different user must have a unique ID.
  • If you provide an ID that matches an existing user:
    • The existing user’s data will be overwritten
    • This can cause access issues if the users are different
  • For testing: Use clearly temporary IDs (e.g., test_user_1)
  • For production: Use your organization’s actual unique identifiers so that when you switch to SSO, the user will be able to access their account directly.
